Description
A project for Professional development and advertisement. We had to make a poster, flyer, ticket and possibly backstage pass to an event. I chose to make a poster for an event I WISH was happening.
NOTE THAT THIS EVENT IS NOT REAL
Anyway. "Un Monstre à Paris" or "A Monster in Paris", is a French animated film that is going to be released in France in October of 2011. If we're lucky we'll see it here in the states. Why am I so excited about a film I may never see, you ask? Simply put. Because it looks amazing. The graphics are an experiment in a new type of computer shading, the storyline sounds fun and full of interesting characters (the monster is a TENOR and the voice of french rockstar -M- is perfect for it), and all in all AMAZING MUSIC. It looks like a fun romp that pokes fun at old monster films while presenting a stylized and fun animated film. The only problem I have with it is that it
ISN'T STATESIDE YET!
Due to the feel of the movie, and a few existing posters I decided to go for an old monster film feel. I like it, especially the way the texture works with the black and red.
